Good evening Rockdale Ram Nation. This is to serve as a reminder of our weekly Tuesday SHIELD Saliva testing at Rockdale School. Students should not eat and/or drink 60 minutes prior to testing in the morning. Results should be available Tuesday evening and will be communicated out to individual parents of students based on results. A change implemented last week, our Kindergarten and 1st Grade students come into the cafeteria and continue with their normal daily routine of starting with breakfast. They are tested beginning at 10 am prior to lunch. Our 2nd thru 8th Grade students gather in the gym where they begin testing. Once completed, students are given breakfast prior to starting the instructional day. Thanks for your time and consideration. Be well and stay safe. Buenas noches Rockdale Ram Nation. Good morning Rockdale Ram Nation! Due to a supplier shortage from Quest, our lunch vendor, we have a menu change for Monday 8/30. Instead of the Chicken Snacker Wrap, we will be serving Beef and Cheese Burrito with applesauce and carrots. Please plan accordingly. The new September menu should have been sent home with your child and is also on the school website under the “For Students” tab, then under Breakfast/Lunch tab, and finally select the September 2021 tab. Good morning Rockdale 5th-8th Grade parents. If your son or daughter is planning on playing during the upcoming baseball or softball season for Rockdale at the end of July, but will not be attending the skills camp from July 19th-22nd, please email Mr. Dermody (sdermody@rockdale84.org) as soon as possible. Due to many factors over the last three years, we felt this skills camp would be a great opportunity for our student athletes to learn and/or practice the fundamental skills associated with baseball and softball before the season starts. Do not miss out on this opportunity. It crucial that we receive an accurate headcount prior to the season starting to ensure we have enough student athletes to field a team. Please be sure to follow through with the required registration and/or outstanding fee steps that have been outlined during this week’s communication. Thank you in advance.
